A Ute cradle composed of a wooden backboard covered with hide, a hide body with scalloped edge, a beaded scalloped hide bib with beaded amulet and tassels, and a beaded hide-edged woven willow hood. Frame: A wooden backboard, squared at the bow and foot, is covered in hide and stitched with hide strips. A small hide loop is attached to the back. Body: The hide body has a scalloped edge and is laced together with hide strips. A hide bib with a beaded scalloped edge lies horizontally along; the head opening. The bib exhibits a floral design. A round beaded natal amulet is secured to the PR side of the bib. Two beaded tassels extend from either side of the bib. A red floral cloth lines the inside of the cradle. Hood: The curved woven willow hood extends from the bow of the backboard and is supported by metal wires covered with white tape.
