Bioinformatics Cluster Overview - by Eric Ross The Bioinformatics Cluster is a based on the Xserve G5, and, as the name implies, is configured specifically for bio sciences. The solution comes with a software package from The Bio Team. Eric Ross administrates a small 8 node cluster of Xserves for the Alejandro Sanchez Alvarado Laboratory and will give a general discussion of the setup and usage, a short cluster demonstration, overview of management tools and techniques and overall evaluation.
