UMail Update by Caprice Post New UMail team member with Cathe Ross recently hired. Several departments have now migrated to UMail - 20 depts and just over 14000 users have logged on. ITS has some users who are testing it; the HSC migration will be much bigger. IT admins: when you decide to migrate your department, please please please contact the UMail team and Earl Lewis to avoid problems with forwards, authority over certain domains, etc. Need to comply with anti-spam laws, give users options to unsubscribe - so anyone needing to email to more than 200 users (especially if those subscribers don't change) should use the campus list server for this purpose. Q: No retention policy for email on campus on this time. Some departments may have their own (HSC has one for patient records), but no plans to do this anytime soon.
