Altiris by Clint Criddle Fees are all in client licensing. Two pieces: Carbon Copy - windows platform; Deployment Console - windows. Several hundred canned reports and a report builder. (Macs: inventory agent and software delivery agent.) Q: software virtualization of applications: they use Softgrid software on ITS Citrix servers. Has worked very well. Some issues with workstation client. Moving more in the direction of the Altiris client. ITS is in the process of virtualizing nearly everything to take the load off their server farms. ITS uses the web console for integrating with Active Directory. Should support Vista. ITS is very happy with Altiris; it replaced Zen 4. They use Altiris for a ton of things: asset management, imaging, software applications, patches, etc.
