Black and white photograph taken during experiments by Edward La Chapelle using explosives for snow removal and avalanche control in February and March of 1966. This photo shows the same spot with the cornice removed following the dynamite blast. Arrows point to location of shot holes. Note the hard, smooth surface of an older cornice underneath the one removed. |
