Invitations came from the Ogden Kiwanis Club; the Illinois Bankers Association; the Council on Foreign Relations; the Rotary Club District Convention in Oklahoma City (declined); the Detroit Economic Club (April 14); the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce (April 15); and the University of Chicago (April 16); and others. Many letters were between Eccles and the Clark H. Getts firm that helped to book appearances.
