Description The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital InterWest Regional Medical Center (IRMEC) “Focus of Aging” workshop, as compared with a video taped educational module covering the same material presented in Roseburg, Oregon, Each conference was presented to health care professional involved with the aged. The specific variables under investigation were demographic characteristics of the workshop population, conference participant expectations, subjects’ knowledge of the elderly, attitude and behavioral changes in participants, and cost effectiveness between the to workshops.
