Title Parunuweap formation in the vicinity of Zion National Park, Utah
Date 1969-06
Description The Parunuweap Formation has been described in the Virgin, Kanab, and Paria drainage basins of southwestern Utah. It is mainly a coarse fluvial conglomerate which filled existing valleys when they were nearly as deep and as wide as they are today. Subsequent erosion has removed most of the deposits, and isolated patches remain at various elevations above present valley floors.
