Description This symposium will take atendees on a tour of the anatomy of the skull base and orbit, using 3D projecton and glasses. The review will include the bones, vasculature, nerves, and sof tssue structures contained in and around the orbit, sphenoid bone, clivus, and paranasal sinuses. Upon completon of this course, partcipants should be able to: 1) Describe the relationship of the internal carotid artery to the structures of the anterior visual system and cranial nerves; 2) Describe the relationship of the cavernous sinus and superior orbital fissure (and their contents) to their surrounding structures; 3) List the indications for transcranial and ventral approaches for various orbital and parasellar pathology; and 4) Review the indicatons and complicatons of periorbital approaches to skull base pathology (eyebrow, lateral canthal, blepharoplasty, transcaruncular, etc.).
