Isolated Paralysis of Cranial Nerves II, IV, and VI (Stabismus for the General Physician)

Dr. Russell N. DeJong's most comprehensive work, The Neurologic Examination, has become a major reference source for all physicians. An issue of The University of Michigan Medical Center Journal dedicated to Dr. DeJong should, therefore, include an article pertaining to the neurologic examination. A brief review of the terminology commonly employed to separate a neurologic from a non-neurologic strabismus will be discussed, before considering acquired, isolated pareses of cranial nerves three, four, and six.
