| Description |
Many patients feel that they have recovered from their Arlie's syndrome because, after 2 years, their accommodation has improved and their pupil is no longer dilated. But the light reaction has not recovered; in fact it is likely to have lost further segments of sphincter. Their tendon reflexes are just as bad, and the second eye may now be involved. The patient has naturally lost more function through progressive loss of ganglion cells than he has regained through regeneration of nerve fibers. |
