Creator Kornfeld, Mario
Subject Optic Pathways Injury; Clival Meningioma Irradiation; Radiation Injury; Central Nervous System
Description In a recent retrospective study of 68 patients with meningioma irradiated with doses ranging from 5,000 to 7,495 rads, no complications attributable to the radiation therapy were encountered; the tumor was judged necrotic or arrested in growth (Carella et. al., Neurosurgery 10:332, 1982). This communication describes two patients with clival meningioma who were treated with irradiation and subsequently developed radiation injury to the CNS.
