Description Simultanagnosia is a disorder of visual recognition characterized by Impaired recognition of complex arrays despite preserved recognition of single objects. We examined a 67-year-old woman with bilateral posterior Infarctions and simultanagnosia. She Identified familiar objects visually presented for 50 milliseconds but required 2 seconds to Identify two simultaneously presented stimuli. Neuro-ophthalmological examination was normal except for mildly constricted Goldmann visual fields.
