The patient is a 20 year old G1P0 33 week pregnant woman with a two year history of intermittent protrusion of her right eye. When this occurs she gets diplopia, slight pain, and "swelling" around her eye. Before her pregnancy she noticed one episode every 2-3 months. Since her pregnancy she has had 2-4 episodes each month. Although a valsalva maneuver does not change her appearance leaning forward gives her a pressure sensation of the right eye. Previous work-ups included an ultrasound showing possible dacryoadenitis of the right lacrimal gland. |
