Description With the recent availability of automated perimetry to ophthalmologists and optometrists, it has become the rule to include a screening visual field test in the battery of routine eye examinations. This approach undoubtedly benefits both the patient and the doctor. However, a new category of patients seems to appear in the neuro ophthalmologist's office with increasing frequency: The Humphrey Consult. The patient has no visual complaints, but his visual field is abnormal.
