Title Extraocular Muscle Cine-Mode Turbo-flash MR Imaging in the Normal and Pathological State
Creator Thomas J. Carlow, MD, Eye Associates of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM
Subject Extraocular Muscle; Cine-Mode Turbo-Flash MR Imaging; Imaging Techniques
Description Turbo-Flash MRI techniques are based on an unspoiled gradient echo sequence with very short repetition times, allowing images to be acquired within a subsecond range. MRI fast imaging techniques have been used to image regions where physiological motion can be a problem; heart, liver, kidney and moving joints. This MRI regimen was utilized to obtain a dynamic study of normal and abnormal extraocular muscles on the horizontal and vertical plane.
