Description Syphilis has been nicknamed "the great mimicker" because of its numerous presentations. Although mild vitritismay occur with chorioretinal disease, dense isolated vitritis is exceedingly uncommon. Similarly, although not an infrequent consequence of neurosyphilis, movement disorders are rarely the predominant abnormality.
