The occult chorioretinopathies or white spot syndromes comprise a heterogeneous group of idiopathic disorders that predominantly affect young and middle-aged women.The names of these disorders reflect their individual ophthalmologic findings: acute zonal occult outer retinopa-thy (AZOOR), multiple evanescent white dot syndrome(MEWDS), acute macular neuroretinopathy (AMN), acute idiopathic blind spot enlargement syndrome(AIBSE), multifocal choroiditis (MCP), punctate innerchoroidopathy (PIC), and diffuse subretinal fibrosissyndrome (DSF). |
