Description Radiation induced optic neuropathy (RlON) including both anterior radiation induced optic neuropathy (ARION) and posterior radiation induced optic neuropathy (P-RION) have been recognized as a delayed complication after radiation therapy (RT) for head and neck cancers. The purpose of this study is to present a methodology for the differential diagnosis based on comparison of clinical manifestations and characteristics of RION with arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (A-ION) and nonaneritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NA-ION).
