Description History: A 52-year-old man was referred with a recurrent right proptosis with no pain or functional deficit. A lesion had been previously diagnosed as a varix. Anatomy: Orbit. Disease Diagnosis: Nevus, blue. Pathology: Photo micrograph magnified 40 times showing a cellular blue nevus. The lesion with 100 magnification demonstrating these blue nevus cells. Presenting Symptom: Recurrent right proptosis with no pain or functional deficit. Neuroimaging: Axial view of the pre-operative lesion in the medial right orbit. Post-operative CT scan following the removal of the lesion with no evidence of recurrence. Treatment: Removal of lesion by medial orbitotomy.
