Description History: An 84-year-old woman was referred with a one-year history of left proptosis and ptosis. The upper lid had partially impaired vision. She was in good general health without evidence of a tumor elsewhere. Anatomy: Orbit. Disease Diagnosis: Lymphoma. Neuroimaging: The ultrasound with the beam coming from left to right showing the lesion posterior to the globe as an anechoic lost lesion with a strong posterior wall. An axial CT scan of the lesion in the left orbit superior to the globe and in the anterior orbit extending posteriorly. A coronal view of the orbits with the lesion in a superior aspect of the left globe with an irregular component of the Optic Nerve being inferior to the lesion. Pathology: Lid lymphocytes obtained by a fine needle aspiration biopsy. Presenting Symptom: Left proptosis and ptosis. Treatment: 2,400 cGy of radiation therapy.
