Description This project involved researching and analyzing the options for establishing a radiology service at Dirne Health Clinic (DHC) in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The clinic currently does not have the equipment to perform it own x-rays and relies on a financial agreement with the local hospital to provide radiology services. The substantial patient population growth at DHC has created a demand for radiology service that exceeds the financial limit of the established agreement. This has effectively left DHC's providers without a critical resource necessary for the proper care of their patients. A number of options exist to resolve this issue, but each avenue has unique challenges that may negate it intended benefit. The goal of this project was to research the various options available, identify their respective pros and cons, and develop a cost-benefit analysis to assist in determining the optimal course of action.
