| Description |
Presenting Symptom: Ocular lesion; Pulmonary infiltration. Clinical: This patient was a 4-year old male who was known to have a negative tuberculin test 3 months previously but whose father had active tuberculosis. The patient developed a spiking fever, pulmonary infiltration compatible with miliary tuberculosis and focal granulomas of the liver which on biopsy were tuberculous. Both eyes showed several ill-defined yellowish spots which by three-dimensional photography appeared to be beneath the retina. One of the lesions situated near the macula of the right eye is shown in the photograph. Disease/ Diagnosis: Miliary tuberculosis |
