Description Presenting Symptom: Vertigo; Syncope. Pathology: Distended retinal veins. Clinical: The patient was a 55-year old female with macroglobulinemia and a blood viscosity of 18 at 27. Her symptoms had been postural vertigo, episodic fainting and bleeding from the nose. The fundi showed severe distension of the veins with a sausage-like segmentation. Disease/ Diagnosis: Macroglobulinemia
