Description Presenting Symptom: Retinal hemorrhage with exudate. Pathology: Retinopathy. Clinical: Extensive hemorrhage, exudate, and general retinal edema. The veins show some congestion and irregularity. The arteries show mild arteriolosclerosis but the retinopathy is out of proportion to the changes in the major retinal vessels. The patient was a 24-year old male with an 13-year history of diabetes with frequent insulin reactions. Disease/ Diagnosis: Diabetic retinopathy.
