Address: 175 No. University Avenue, Provo, UT. Affiliated with the United Church of Christ since 1955. Provo Congregational Church was incorporated in First building dedicated at 1st North and University Ave. in 1894. It became Provo Community Church when the local Methodists merged with the Congregationalists in 1910. Original building on property constructed 1923, dedicated in 1924 in Spanish Colonial Revival style. The Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and Kitchen, and circulation areas were added in 1956 in the Mid-Century Modern / International Style architecture, and dedicated in 1957. Major renovation and restoration project began in 2021. |
