Final Score The Utah Men's Golf team finished in a tie for second at the Bandon Dunes Championship today after shooting 5-over (857) through three rounds, tying with Oregon while topping three other teams from the Pac-12. The Utes came out of the gates hot, shooting 10-under (274) in the first round of tournament play. Four Utes finished inside the top-17 and that propelled the team to the top spot on the leader board. The team struggled in the second round though, falling to sixth place through 36 holes. The team shot 2-over (286) today in the third and final round to climb the leader board to tie for second place. Leading the team was senior Mitchell Schow, who also led all golfers after shooting 8-under (66) through the first day of play. He then shot 1-over (72) on the next 18 and even par (71) on the final 18 to secure a tie for fifth place. For the tournament he shot 4-under (209) for his first top-five finish of the season. Junior Tristan Mandur and freshman Javier Barcos both tied for 16th among the field. Both players also started the tournament with a strong first round, shooting 2-under through the first 18 to tie for 11th. Mandur shot 2-over (73) and 3-over (74) in the final two rounds, while Barcos shot even par (70) in the final round to secure their places in the top-20. They both finished the tournament shooting 3-over (216). Rounding out the team was junior Blake Tomlinson and freshman Jesper von Reedtz. Tomlinson saved his best round for last after he shot under par on eight holes of the back nine. He finished the tournament in a tie for 28th after shooting 6-over par (219). Reedtz best day of play was also the first round where he shot 1-under (70). For the tournament he shot 10-over (223) to tie for 46th amongst the field.
