Description Images from bound booklet, "Our Journey to Topaz: A Third and Fourth Grade Expedition" by Jessica Furman's class at the Realms of Inquiry School, Spring 2007. Ms. Furman's class focused on Utah and Japanese history as well as current social issues. Students read books, wrote essays and poetry, created artwork, discussed war-time issues and civil rights, interviewed Grace Oshita, an internee of Topaz, visited the University of Utah's Special Collections Department and saw photos, posters, letters and other primary source documents, and spent time with Jane Beckwith at the Topaz Museum and Topaz Internment Camp.
