Television Cable Destroyed by Vandals

On July 22, 1974 vandals shot fourteen times into the main trunk line feeding into the television service. Vernal's cable television was interrupted as a direct result of this. Vernal Tele-Communications, Inc. technicians reported the incident. During repairs, only 9 bullets were recovered of the 14 shot; the vandals used high powered rifles. The destroyed line was located near the base of Asphalt Ridge. The incident was investigated by the Uintah County Sheriff's department.
