Owner & Managers of New Gibson's Discount Center

The building of the new Gibson's Discount Center was located on West U.S. Highway 40, in Vernal. The parking lot in front of the building was able to accommodate over 600 vehicles. This photograph was taken prior to August 17, 1974, the opening day. Ken Huber (left) was the owner of the Vernal Gibson center. He is now the owner of four Gibson's centers in Utah. Leon Wilson (center) was the assistant manager. Garth Nuttall (right) was the manager. Most of the employees at this new center were local workers.
