Final Score DAY ONE: Junior Hannah Allred led the Utah track and field team with a fourth-place finish and all five of the Utah competitors in the 5,000-meter race finished inside of the top 10 on day one of the Mark Faldmo Invitational. Allred finished the race in a time of 18:18.03. Also competing for the Utes was senior Shaylen Crook, sophomore Emma Christensen, junior Jade Mulvey, and freshman Astrid Lindgren. Crook finished in fifth place with a time of 18:25.63, Christensen placed seventh with a time of 18:29.69, Mulvey earned eighth with a time of 18:30.98, and Lindgren finished in ninth place with a time of 18:51.55. Mulvey's time was a new personal best. Freshman Regan Crofts competed in the javelin Friday evening where she placed 13th with a throwing distance of 112'0" (34.14 meters). DAY TWO: The Utah track and field team wrapped up day two of competition with two runner up and 12 top-10 finishes. Senior Mesa Weidle and sophomore Nicole Griffiths led the way for the Utes as they both finished in second place in the races they competed in. Weidle competed in the 400-meter dash alongside freshman Whitney Hessler where Weidle finished with a time of 57.28 and Hessler finished in 10th place with a time of 1:00.00. Griffiths competed in the 800-meter run where she finished with a time of 2:15.06. The Utes had a strong showing in the 1,500-meter race where all six of their competitors finished inside of the top 10. Senior Megan Perkins-Killian led the Utes finishing in third place with a time of 4:38.47. Following closely behind Perkins-Killian was freshman Bella Williams and senior Dakota Grossman. Williams finished in fourth with a time of 4:39.13 while Grossman placed sixth with a time of 4:44.48. Rounding out the competitors for the Utes in the 1,500-meter race was sophomore Melissa Taggart (seventh, 4:47.82), freshman Aubrey Argyle (eighth, 4:49.36), and freshman Natalie Platil (ninth, 4:49.74). Perkins-Killian and Williams both earned new lifetime bests. In the 400-meter hurdles, freshman Rachel Whipple, freshman Ruby Jane Mathewson, and sophomore Brooke Martin all finished inside the top 10. Whipple placed fourth with a time of 1:03.29, Mathewson earned sixth with a time of 1:03.76, and Martin finished seventh with a time of 1:05.40. With this time, Mathewson has recorded a new personal best. Junior Eliza Hansen competed in the high jump where she earned 13th with a height of 5'3.25" (1.61 meters).
