Final Score DAY ONE: As competition wraps up at day one, the Utes competed in three events and debuted true freshman Ruby Jane Mathewson in her first ever pentathlon. Competing in her first ever pentathlon, Ruby Jane Mathewson took home 25th place with a total point score of 2953 from a large field and set several personal-records (PR's) in her debut. Starting the Pentathlon off with the 800-meter run, Mathewson captured 11th place with a time of 2:29.48. Moving to the 60-meter hurdles, Mathewson finished in 19th place with a time of 9.40. In the women's high jump, Mathewson earned 19th place with a height of 1.50 meters. Moving to the long jump, Mathewson finished in 29th with a distance of 4.38-meters. Wrapping up the Pentathlon with the shot put, Mathewson finished in 28th place throwing a distance of 8.12 meters. Competing in the 3,000-meter event for the Utes was sophomore Trina Moreno. Moreno finished in fourth place with a time of 10:07.05. In the last 100 meters, Moreno blew past four runners to secure the fourth-place finish. Also with this time Moreno set a new lifetime-best by 11 seconds. DAY TWO: The track and field team closed out competition on Saturday in the 3,000, 800 and 400-meter events with several runners earning new personal bests on the day. In the 3,000-meter event, several more heats competed today including six more Utah runners. Leading the Utes was sophomore Poppy Tank. Tank finished in 11th place with a personal-best time of 9:29.22. This tops her previous personal-record time by 10 seconds and moves her into fifth-place all-time at Utah. Coming in behind Tank were seniors Jessica Sams and Louise Mercer. Sams finished in 14th place with a new personal-record time 9:34.26. This time tops her previous best by over two seconds. She ranks eighth all-time at Utah in the event. Mercer also earned a new personal-record time of 9:43.44 and took home 21st place. Coming in after Mercer was freshman Bella Williams and sophomore Trina Moreno. Williams captured 31st place with a time of 9:52.18 and Moreno finished in 50th place with a time of 10:07.05. Both Williams and Moreno recorded new personal-records with these times. Rounding out the Utah runners in this event was senior Hannah McInturff and freshman Aubrey Argyle. McInturff finished in 57th place with a time of 10:13.00 while Argyle captured 60th place with a time of 10:14.90. In the 400-meter dash, senior Alissa Atisme led the Utes with a 13th-place finish in a time of 56.54. Following behind Atisme was freshman Jackie Martin. Martin finished the event in 18th place with a time of 56.91. Also competing for the Utes was sophomore Brooke Martin and senior Madison Lanford. Martin earned 49th place with a time of 59.36 and Lanford finished in 59th with a time of 1:00.61. Moving onto the 800-meter event, Utah was led by junior Caitlin Faust. Faust finished in 12th place with a personal-best time of 2:10.95, moving into seventh place all-time at Utah. Following behind Faust was senior Grace Englund and sophomore Sarah Newton. Englund finished the event in 19th place with a time of 2:12.53 while Newton crossed the line right behind her in 20th place with a time of 2:13.04. Sophomore Nicole Griffiths and freshman Whitney Hessler also competed in the event for the Utes. Griffiths finished in 33rd place with a time of 2:15.89 and Hessler earned 38th place with a time of 2:16.69.
