The Dowd Mountain cutoff road is under construction at Spring Canyon. The contractor has constructed a preliminary road so that rock work on the dugway may be continued through winter months. The top arrow show the old Switch-back road. the lower arrows point tot he new preliminary road which is now being widened and improved with cuts and fills. |
