Christ United Methodist Church [08]

Address: 2375 East 33rd South, Millcreek, UT. This church has its origins in the Liberty Park Methodist Episcopal Church, organized in 1892 by the Reverend E.G. Hunt. Its previous home was at 871 South 800 East in Salt Lake City. They elected to move in 1952 and broke ground in 1952 for a new building on 33rd South that they moved to in 1954. A cornerstone bears the completion date of 1954, while a new 2005 stone commemorates a major remodeling of the building. At the time of the move, they renamed themselves Christ Memorial Methodist Church, which tater changed to Christ United Methodist.
