Title A dance between concepts: integration of science and movement
Date 2018
Description The purpose of this Honors thesis paper is to provide educational evidence that the integration of movement in the classroom affects learning in deep and meaningful ways. I wanted to experience this creative process and investigate, firsthand, how integrating a core subject into a creative dance environment connects students from diverse backgrounds both academically and socially. This area of applied teaching is in need of further research because connecting movement to core concepts supports the learning of complex concepts.
