Final Score Led by junior Grayson Murphy in the 5000-meter run, the Utah track and field team got out to a great start at the MPSF Championships in Seattle, Wash. Two weeks ago at the Husky Classic, Murphy broke the 35 year old school record in the 5000-meter run after posting a school record time of 16:16.62. Friday night at the conference championships, Murphy broke the school record again by improving her time by 23 seconds, after finishing the race with a time of 15:53.24. Murphy's personal record earned a third place finish. Sophomore Ann Wingeleth competed in the long jump for Utah where she placed fifth overall with her best mark of 19 feet, 2 inches. Competing in the last event of the night, the distance medley team placed fourth overall in a time of 11:23.68. The distance medley team featured juniors Hannah McInturff and Grace Englund, along with sophomore Caitlin Faust and freshman Amanda Gehrich. Freshman Holly Stallman competed in the 60-meter dash for the Utes on Friday night. Stallman placed 35th after finishing the race with a time of 7.85 seconds. Stallman also competed in the 200-meter dash. Stallman finished in 41st place with a time of 26.17 seconds. Three athletes represented Utah in the pentathlon. Competing in a total of five events, Sophomore Lauren McCluskey finished in 16th place after totaling 3181 points and junior Madison Lanford followed McCluskey in the individual standings where she place 17th with 3027 points. Both McCluskey and Lanford recorded personal bests in the pentathlon. Freshman Piper Wehrli rounded out the pentathlon group, finishing in 22nd place with 1985 points.
