Title Augmented Optic Nerve Head Blood Flow Depends on Stimulus Wavelength and Duration
Creator Moe Aung, Tomas Aleman, Arielle Garcia, Robert Avery
Subject Diagnostic Tests (ERG, VER, OCT, HRT, mfERG, etc), Eyelid & Adnexal Disease, Optic Neuropathy
Description The neurovascular coupling mechanism has been examined by presenting repeated flashes of light, termed flicker stimulation, to stimulate optic nerve head blood flow (ONHBF). The current study investigated how stimulus features (i.e., wavelength and duration) from two common visual electrophysiology tests (i.e., photopic negative response, PhNR; visual evoked potentials, VEP) may alter ONHBF.
