Description Arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AAION) is an ischemic optic neuropathy usually associated with giant cell arteritis (GCA). A few studies reported that AAION was found in systemic lupus erythematous (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We report bilateral visual loss due to AAION as a rare presentation of Rhupus (SLE overlapping RA).
