Description Digitized copy of an audiocassette recording of the first part of an interview between Fawn McKay Brodie and Jessamyn West on September 29, 1976. West was a cousin of Richard Nixon as well as a novelist. She was interviewed in the home of her brother, Merle West, in Hacienda Heights. This interview was part of Brodie's research from her 1981 book, Richard Nixon: The Shaping of His Character. Utah native Fawn Brodie was a history professor and biographer who published several books about historical figures, including Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Smith, and Richard Nixon.
