Voorhis was California politician who served five terms in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Democrat. He lost to Richard Nixon in the 1946 race. This interview was part of Brodie's research from her 1981 book, Richard Nixon: The Shaping of His Character. Utah native Fawn Brodie was a history professor and biographer who published several books about historical figures, including Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Smith, and Richard Nixon. |
