Description Digitized copy of an audiocassette recording of an interview between Fawn McKay Brodie and Eugene Genovese on November 6, 1977. Genovese made some controversial statements about the Vietnam War while teaching at Rutgers University, and was denounced by Richard Nixon. The tape was broken and repaired prior to digitization. This interview was part of Brodie's research for her 1981 book, Richard Nixon: The Shaping of His Character. Utah native Fawn Brodie was a history professor and biographer who published several books about historical figures, including Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Smith, and Richard Nixon.
