Description Digitized copy of an audiocassette recording of part two of an interview between Fawn McKay Brodie and Judge James Cobey. Cobey served on the California legislature as a Democrat for twelve years before being appointed associate justice to the California Court of Appeals. There are audio issues with the tapes, with lots of environmental noise throughout part two. This interview was part of Brodie's research for her 1981 book, Richard Nixon: The Shaping of His Character. Utah native Fawn Brodie was a history professor and biographer who published several books about historical figures, including Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Smith, and Richard Nixon.
