Description This paper seeks to investigate the correlation of flame properties with flare combustion and destruction efficiency and statistically select the most accuracy correlation. First, the previous correlation will be reviewed. Then new correlations of flame properties with combustion and destruction will be investigated. Flame properties to be considered are the heating value of the gas, the velocity of the gas out of the flare tip, the adiabatic flame temperature, the flammability limits, and flare study of 1980's and the more recent and more extensive data of the International Flare Consortium (IFC) and other data that might exist. The best correlation will be selected based on simplicity and statistical accuracy.
