Final Score Sophomore Megan Glasmann set a new school record in the javelin and nine Utes won event titles as the Utah women's track and field team fell short to the Oregon State Beavers, 95-64. Competing for the first time as a Ute, Glasmann recorded a throw of 168 feet, 4.25 inches to earn first in the javelin. Glasmann's throw was not only a new collegiate-best and 25-feet further than the next closest competitor, but was also far enough to ink her name into the record books. Glasmann continued to roll in the discus, once again placing in the top three spots and scoring six total team points for the Utes on the day. Senior Destanae Howerton-Davis captured two event titles for the Utes in the discus (155 feet, 1.25 inches) and the shot put (47 feet, 5.75 inches) for 10 team points. he Utes earned the top-two spots in the 3,000. Rebekah Winterton crossed the line first overall with a time of 9:45.21. Sophomore Jessica Sams finished right behind Winterton in second, recording a time of 9:52.02. Sophomore Alissa Atisme won a pair of events for the Utes, earning first in the 100 (12.26) and the 200 (24.92) to earn a total of ten team points. Atisme was accompanied by fellow sophomore Danielle Perez who placed third in the 100 and fourth in the 200. The Utes continued their dominance in the throwing events, claiming the top two spots in the hammer throw. Sophomore Ilse Kaaja led the way for the Utes, recording a throw measuring 197 feet, 11.50 inches to earn first. Senior Aoife Hickey placed second with a throw of 188 feet, 7.25 inches. True freshman Sarah Feeny flew past the competition in the 1,500, earning first with a time of 4:22.83. Feeny's time qualifies her for the NCAA Regional meet later this year and ranks in the top-five on Utah's all-time list. Utah continued to shine in the field events as sophomore Kailey Banks tied for first in the high jump after clearing a mark of 5 feet, 4.25 inches. Other notable performances for the Utes include Allison Aafedt (3rd, 400), Nikki Rietz (3rd, 800), Grace Englund (4th, 800) and Christine Van Brocklin (2nd, 100 hurdles).
