Final Score The Utah women's track and field team wrapped up action at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships securing 16th place with 5 points. Capturing the spotlight for the Utes was sophomore Rhianna Williams' record-performance in the 400-meter race. Williams recorded a time of 54.46 seconds to capture ninth overall and surpass her previous best by four tenths of a second. Sophomore Grace England accompanied Williams in the 400, recording a time of 56.84 seconds to earn 25th. In the 3,000-meter race, the Utes were represented by four runners. Leading the charge for the Utes was true freshman Sarah Feeny, recording a time of 9:24.54 to capture tenth overall. Feeny's time was not only a new personal-best for her, but also ranks third on Utah's all-time list. Senior Rebekah Winterton also competed for the Utes. Winterton continued her success from yesterday by recording a time of 9:35.17 to claim 14th. Sophomore Jessica Sams finished next for the Utes in 29th, followed by a 14-second personal record performance (9:55.42) by Niki Rietz to finish 37th. Feeny and Rietz also competed in the mile for the Utes. Feeny added another 10th-place finish with a time of 4:44.40 and Rietz finished 21st with a time of 4:56.10. Hannah McInturff also competed for the Utes, recording a time of 4:54.11 to earn 18th. The high jump featured sophomore Kailey Banks clearing a mark of 5 feet, 5.25 inches to place ninth overall. True freshman Michelle Norman represented the Utes in both the long jump and triple jump. In the long jump, Norman leaped a distance of 18 feet, 0.5 inches to earn 13th. Norman followed up this performance with a 19th-place finish in the triple jump. In the shot put, the Utes had two athletes finish in the top-20. Destanae Howerton-Davis captured one team point, finishing first for the Utes and eight overall with a throw measuring 48 feet, 2.75 inches. Sophomore Kassie Nagle claimed the 19th spot with a throw of 41 feet, 9.25 inches. The Utes finished the MPSF Championships in 16th place with a combined total of 5 points. The overall winner was USC with 111 points followed by Oregon (89 points) and Arizona State (60.33 points).
