PROVO- Utah senior Jeff Simonich (31:25.9) was the top finisher for the men' s cross country team placing second in the 10k at the NCAA Mountain Region meet on Saturday. Travis Hildebrand (32:33.0) and Mark Bunker (33:02.1) finished 22nd and 36th respectively; to give the Utes a sixth place team finish. Junior Johanna Nielsen (18:32.9) placed 191 giving her the highest women' s finish for; Utah. Brooke Babbitt (19:23.6) placed 42nd and Tara Tidwell (19:32.6) placed 55th to give the women a ninth place finish; Jeff Simonich qualified to compete in the NCAA Chan1pionships held Nov. 23 in Lawrence, Kansas. |
