Utah senior Jeff Simonich continues to dominate his field as he won the BYU Autumn Classic on Saturday. Simonich won the 8k race with a time of 24:29.2. after coming off an impressive eighth place finish at the Bob Timmons pre-NCAA race in Kansas last week. The men's team placed fifth overall. Junior Johanna Nielsen was the top women' s finisher for the Utes placing 12th overall in the 5k race with a time of 18:01.7. The women placed eighth as a team. The race featured 12 teams including the defending national champion women' s team from BYU. |
