Kuhns discusses growing up in the city of East Carbon in Carbon County, Utah. Her mother owned a beauty salon business which she joined in 1975 and ran until 2010. She discusses how most of people she knew growing up died of some type of cancer. She also shares observations and impact of nuclear weapons testing on East Carbon.
