Title The ped score: pedestrian experience dimension assessing and enhancing the pedestrian experience in Salt Lake City, Utah
Date 2018
Description It's 6:30 in the morning. The alarm goes off, you take a shower, get dressed, and then you go to the kitchen to prepare some breakfast before heading to work. For an overwhelming majority of Americans, the next step in the routine is a 30-minute drive, alone, in your car. You sit in traffic on a crowded arterial, toll road, and/or highway, in the company of thousands of other people driving alone, together. Ignoring the additional trips needed to run errands, or fulfill any other needs, these automobile commutes that occur twice each day, for generally five days each week, accumulate significant negative side effects physically, mentally, environmentally, financially, socially… virtually every aspect of life is affected.
