FERA Men Work at Monument

Men from the FERA camp at Dinoaur Monument take a break from their labors around a small fire. They are removing the overburden from the hillside to make a way into the quarry area.The tracks are used to pull carts of overburden and rock. A group of men from the CWA (Civilian Works Administration) and the FERA (Federal Emergency Relief Administration) worked and lived at the Monument under the supervision of Dr. Albert C. Boyle, geologist and custodian of the Dinosaur National Monument.
